Tinnitus is perhaps one of the most misunderstood medical conditions. It is often misunderstood as a medical condition in itself, but it can actually be a symptom of an underlying medical problem and a lot of those who experience this symptom then get confused and they end up not knowing what should be done so they go out searching for a tinnitus miracle. In order to combat the problems that the noise can cause a person must know how it happens and the ways to alleviate the symptoms.
For some people the reason that they suffer from the condition is due to health related issues. For others the reasons that they are suffering remain a mystery. The most common cause involves damage to the hair cells in the cochlea which often occurs as the ears get exposed to very loud noise. When this happens, the ear cells get triggered and releases an electrical signal from the nerve in the ear that sends it to the brain which receives this signal and interprets it as a sound so when your hair cell in the cochlea gets damaged, it sends electrical impulses randomly to the brain, thus making you hear a ringing in your ears and leaves yourself longing for quietness for ringing in ears.
Some other causes include problems in the ear, chronic health problems, and injuries that affect the auditory nerves and hearing center of our brain. There are some things that are considered common causes for tinnitus.
Being around loud noises is the most basic reason. This is often the most common cause amongst teenagers who cannot seem to get enough of the music they are listening to with their portable stereos. Construction workers or people are often the victims of tinnitus due to the loud sounds of a construction sight and the lack of protection for their hearing.
Growing older is another reason people suffer from this condition. This hearing loss begins when a person reaches the age of sixty and is a normal part of life. Hearing is just one of the things that is affected as a person gets older
Another issue that might be faced is the fact that a person has wax built up. Our earwax functions as a protection of the ear canal as it traps dirt and prevents bacterial growth. If a person does not clean their ears occasionally it can get impacted which will lead to the ringing in the ears among other things.
There are those who have some type of alteration to the way their ears work. For some people, the bones in the middle ear can stiffen and it can affect the hearing process, thus causing tinnitus. Often times this problem is the result of genetics that create the issue that a person faces.
Anxiety and depression also might lead to a person suffering from tinnitus. Arteriovenous Malformation and other diseases have been known to leave a person suffering from buzzing in their head.
If a person is taking certain types of medicine they might be the cause of the problem. It is not unheard of that a person who is taking a prescription might find themselves dealing with the noise in their head. It is said that prolonged use of the medication at higher dosage is what causes the ototoxicity.
Now that you are fully aware of the tinnitus causes, perhaps it is about time that we take extra care of our ears and steer clear from activities that can cause or aggravate tinnitus before you start turning to the internet and start reading about the tinnitus miracle review in the emails that fill our inboxes on a daily basis..
