After more than ten years of education, your final year of high school should be one of the most exciting times of your life. Many students have already been accepted to college, or they have at least gotten the admissions process underway. By halfway through the school year, they will probably have all of the credits they need to graduate, so they can relax, have some fun, and enjoy spending time with their high school friends before leaving for college. If you hope to make the most of your final year of high school, it is important to prepare in the months leading up to its start. List all you need to accomplish during your junior year and the summer between then and your final year. That way, halfway through the year, you can wrap things up and look forward to the parties. You can start by scheduling to have your senior pictures taken. If you live in the Ohio area can visit a Cincinnati photography studio for professional photographs they will cherish for a long time to come.

Once the pics are snapped, get your college issues in place. Decide if you are going and where your top locations are located. Gather the appropriate applications and figure out how much time you will need to fill them out. Read through each and make a list of supplies you need, each deadline, and whether or not one or more essays is required.

Keep in mind you can recycle essays, so if the questions are more general, try to use the same essay for more the one application. If appointments are needed, this is a good time to do so. Even if the appointments are months in advance, once they are scheduled you can get them on your calendar and focus on other stuff.

Once you have the college stuff out of the way, focus on the fun. It may begin like every other school year, but soon it gets busy. Following the first of the year, you will be going non-stop until after graduation. Get on top of tasks as soon as you can. It is never too early for graduation shopping. Consider shopping after Christmas for some great deals. This way, your gifts are done and it will be less on your list for May and June.

If there are events you need to speak at, start thinking about your speech material. Give yourself time for writing and practice. If the events you planto attend are informal, be sure to shop for clothes and necessities for each party. Talk to friends about limos, dresses, and dinners as soon as possible. The earlier you get stuff done during your last year of high school, the more time there will be for fun.
