After more than ten years of education, your final year of high school should be one of the most exciting times of your life. Many students have already been accepted to college, or they have at least gotten the admissions process underway. By halfway through the school year, they are qualified graduates, so they can relax, have some fun, and enjoy spending time with their high school friends before leaving for college. If you hope to make the most of your final year of high school, get a jump on all there is to do before graduation. List all you need to accomplish in the months leading up to your final year. Even if the appointments are months in advance, once they are scheduled you can get them on your calendar and focus on other stuff.

If you will be speaking at events, start thinking about some things you would like to say weeks in advance. Give yourself plenty of time to write and practice. If the events you planto attend are informal, be sure to shop for clothes and necessities for each party. Talk to friends about limos, dresses, and dinners as soon as possible. The earlier you get stuff done during your last year of high school, the more time there will be for fun.
