After more than ten years of education, your final year of high school should be one of the most exciting times of your life. Many students have already been accepted to college, or they have at least gotten the admissions process underway. By halfway through the school year, they are qualified graduates, so they can relax, have some fun, and enjoy spending time with their high school friends before leaving for college. If you hope to make the most of your final year of high school, get a jump on all there is to do before graduation. List all you need to accomplish in the months leading up to your final year. That way, halfway through the year, you can wrap things up and look forward to the parties. You can begin with having your senior pictures taken. Those living in the Ohio area can visit a Cincinnati photography studio for professional photographs they will cherish for a long time to come.

Once the photographs are taken, get your college issues in place. Decide whether you are going and where you will go. Gather applications and materials for filling them in. Read through each and make a list of supplies you need, each deadline, and essay topics.

Keep in mind you can recycle essays, so if the questions are more general, try to use the same essay for more the one application. If appointments are needed, get them scheduled. Even if the appointments are months in advance, once they are scheduled you can get them on your calendar and focus on other stuff.

Once you have the college stuff out of the way, focus on the fun. It may begin like every other school year, but you will soon learn there is plenty of out of the ordinary stuff to do. Following the first of the year, you will be running around like crazy. Try to take care of as many things in advance as you can. It is never too early to shop for graduation gifts for your friends. Consider shopping after Christmas for some great deals. This way, you can put the gifts away and it will be one less thing to do during the busy months of May and June.

If you will be speaking at events, start thinking about some things you would like to say weeks in advance. Give yourself plenty of time to write and practice. If the events you planto attend are informal, be sure to shop for clothes and necessities for each party. Talk to friends about limos, dresses, and dinners as soon as possible. The earlier you get stuff done during your last year of high school, the more time there will be for fun.
