Being fat is the result of a lot of different factors. A busy schedule or unhealthy habits often are things that can make a person add some pounds. One cannot usually pinpoint a specific cause for the extra weight, instead there are several things that have caused it. Something that has a big affect on a person is the genes they were given at birth.
The way we look is often mimicked by our spouse and children. The cause of the extra pounds that run in a family is often thought to be genetics that are beyond their control. Genetics are an excuse that people use for the girth around their waist. There are many things that a family does that can cause the weight problem. The things that the parents that add pounds to the body are mimicked by the kids. If one person in the family decides that they need to eat a dinner consisting of fast food every night, then all of the family will eat this. When the evenings’ entertainment for a family consists of sitting around the television watching movies and eating popcorn, then the whole family suffers the repercussions. Families that share bad habits can also learn to break the bad habits together.
